5
Q

What is thermoregulation?

A

Heat is generated in are body as a result of the production of energy. The heat that is produced through muscle contraction raises the core body
temperature which causes fatigue.

6
Q

What is increased hart rate?

A

As we start exercising heart rate increases and beats with greater force.

11
Q

What are cramps caused by?

A

Strain of the muscle.
Often linked to dehydration and loss of minerals due to sweating.

Q

What is light headedness caused by?

A

This is often caused by low blood sugar or a drop in blood pressure.
Likely to occur after sweating heavily.

16
Q

What is bradycardia?

A

Decreased resting hart rate

17
Q

Why does bradycardia occur?

A

Cardiac hypertrophy means it takes less
beats in a minute to supply the body with enough oxygen at rest.

18
Q

What does cardiac hypertrophy lead to?

A

Bradycardia (decreasing resting hart rate)

19
Q

How do you work out cardiac output?

A

Hart rate x stroke volume
