16
Q

Sympathetic fibers of testis are connected to…..segemnt

A

10th thoracic

17
Q

How to identify the side of testis?

A
  1. Edidifymis is post to testis
  2. Vas deferens arises from tail of epididymis & lies posteromedially
  3. Sinus of epididymis is directed laterally
18
Q

Mention factors heat loss & gain in testis

A

Loss: very vascular scrital skin which is rich in sweat glands, absence of subcutaneous glands, relaxation of dartos muscle in hot weather leads to smooth & elongated scrotal skin with inc its surface area
Gain: contraction of dartos muscle that leads to corrugated and short scrotal skin with dec its surface area, contraction of cremaster muscle elevates testis near body

19
Q

List parts of epididymis and their connections

A
  1. Head over upper end of testis connected by efferent ductules
  2. Body main part along posterior border of testis
  3. Tail connected to vas deferens
20
Q

List constituents of spermatic cord

A

3 arteries: testicular artery, cremastric artery, artery of vas
3V: vas deferens, venous plexus, vestige of processus vaginalis
3 nerves: genital branch of genitofemoral, sympathetic plexus around testicular artery, sympathetic plexus around artery of vas
3L: loose areolar tissue, lymphatics from testis & from epididymis

21
Q

Artery of vas arises from…….

A

Superior vesical artery

22
Q

List coverings of spermatic cord

A
  1. Internal spermatic fascia from fascia transversalis
  2. Cremaster muscle & fascia continuation of inner abdominal oblique
  3. External abdominal oblique from aponeurosis of external abdominal oblique
23
Q

Bulb of penis contains…….

A

Spongy urethra

24
Q

Crura of penis are attached to……

A

Everted borders of pubic arch

25
Q

Body of penis consists of……..

A

One ventral (corpus spongiosus) & two dorsal (corpora cavernosa)

26
Q

Corpora cavernosa is continuous proximally with….,while corpora spongiosa proximally with…..& distally…….

A

Two crura
Bulb of penis, glans penis

27
Q

List arteries of penis

A
  1. Dorsal arteries of penis run one on each side of dorsum of penis lateral to deep dorsal vein of penis
  2. Deep arteries of penis run in centers of corpus cavernosus
  3. Arteries of bulb along urethra in corpus spongiosum
  4. Urethral artery: supplies spongy urethra
28
Q

List veins of penis

A
  1. Superficial dorsal vein of penis: drains the prepuce & skin of the penis ends by dividing into 2 external superficial pudendal vessels
  2. Deep dorsal vein of penis: drains glans & corpora cavernosa and ends in prostati
29
Q

Describe nerve supply & Lymph drainage of penis

A

-terminal branches of pudendal nerve run along lateral side of dorsal arteries of the penis
-end in superficial inguinal nodes
Glans penis LNs pass to deep inguinal & external iliac LNs
