A histamine-1 receptor antagonist which blocks the
body’s histamine production and reduces allergic
reaction symptoms
SIDE EFFECTS
• Headache
• Fatigue/drowsiness
• Vomiting/nausea

Indications, contraindications, precautions
A
• Allergy/hayfever (i.e. sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose & eyes, watery eyes) • Urticaria (i.e. hives) • Itchy skin/swelling/rash related to suspected uncomplicated allergy
CONTRAINDICATIN • KSAR • Patients ≤12 years • Previous administration within 24 hours
PRECAUTIONS • Elderly patients • Patients with kidney disease • Pregnant and breastfeeding patients
