H-Hyperlipidaemia, Hypertriglyceridaemia, hypercalcaemia, hyperparathyroidism, hyperglycemia (DM)
E-ERCP
D-Drugs(azathioprine, OCPs, ARVs, fibrates, thiazide diuretics)
Middle aged man presents 6 weeks post management of acute pancreatitis with persistent LUQ and epigastric pain, intermittent nausea, vomiting, fever, and a mass in the epigastrum. There is also elevated CRP, amylase, lipase, and creatinine. What is the diagnosis?
Pancreatic pseudocyst
41 year old man presents with malodorous bulky diarrhoea which started concurrently with symptoms of pneumonia(treated) 3 weeks ago. There is currently progressive arthralgia. What is the appropriate test for a definitive diagnosis?
Small-bowel barium follow-through and biopsy of small intestine. (For Whipple’s disease)
What condition is H.pylori infection mostly associated with?
Duodenal ulcer(90%)
This is followed by Gastric ulcer (80%)
