Temporary lobe haemorrhage with oedema.
Patient has significant risk factors for both ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke however ipsilateral CNIII palsy with contralateral hemiparesis denotes haemorrhagic temporal lobe stroke causing uncal herniation with brainstem compression.
32 year old presents with ascending paralysis post diarrhoeal illness. Lumbar puncture shows raised protein in CSF but no other abnormalities. What is the most appropriate treatment?
