- centralized
- de-centralized
- dotted line
- matrix
- venture teams
To which structure are we refering: there is meeting to decide de new food product development.
They will meet quickly and make decision but they don’t act as a team. they invite people
from different department and there is no team for the product development.
centralized structure
To which structure are we referring : sub-departments would work on a specific project. but they
don’t act as a team because when the project is finished the department is dissipated. They
are going to work on a specific project. It is not team focused because there is no more
team when the project is finished.
decentralized structure
To which structure are we referring : It is more team oriented but the boss still has more weight in the decisions than the other twos. It is team oriented. Here we are really creating teams. The dotted line, the person reports to the leader of the food product development team, it is a secondary function to create products. Continuous line, the product development is a primary function
dotted line
To which structure are we referring : there is a boss for the food product team member that will make decision. Here we
have a continuous line. The food product development team is composed of people of
different departement. Their regular tasks have the same weight as the development
product tasks. They have to boss, the boss of their departement and the boss of the food
product development team.
matrix
To which structure are we referring : really team oriented because there is a team only for the food product
dev. You don’t have weekly tasks because there only job is to develop a new product and
only focusing on that. It is really rare that the companies will have venture teams unless
they want to create an innovative and creative product.
