A

Cysts turn into trophozoites that live on the intestinal villi, then encyst and cysts released in faeces

A
Asymptomatic 
Watery diarrhoea 
Steatorrhoea
Malabsorption

A

Stool microscopy for cysts
Trophozoites seen in watery diarrhoea
Giardia antigen
Small bowel biopsy

A

Most infections are self limiting
