Corynebacteria diphtheriae- SX

A
  • Tonsillopharyngeal diphtheria- gray-white pharyngeal membranem hoarseness, sore throat & LOW fever
  • Laryngotracheobronchial diphtheria- hoarsness, stridor, respiratory distress
  • Nasal diphtheria (infants & young) profuse, mucoid grayish discharge

** ALL can lead to myocariditis, renal effects, polyneuritis
