Mendels laws of heredity
A
- Inherited characteristics are controlled by genomes that occur during cross fertilization; each gamete receives 1 gene from each parent
- Principles of dominance- one gene makes the effect of the other
A. Dominant trait written as a capital letter and recessive as a lowercase - Law of segregation- a pair of genes separate or segregation during formation of sex cells
Note that Mendel had no knowledge of meiosis
