What is the technique for brushing a dog?

A

While brushing a dog with a double coat, using a brush, the handler inspects the dog skin by lifting and moving the
Loosen dead hair by rubbing against the grain of the hair with the fingertips at the same time expose the skin for inspection and loosen dead hair. The undercoat should be soft and slightly oily, and the skin clear of infections, sores, and lacerations.

Techniques for washing a dog

A

Wet the dog all over from head to tail top to bottom.
Start at the highest points and work downward, apply a generous amount of selected shampoo directly to coat or on hand.
Work shampoo into the dog coat and a gentle massaging motion, then scrub with fingertips, you may need to add water while performing this.
Thoroughly wash all areas and then give a final rinse to ensure the removal of all shampoo.
Dry with a towel then use a blower, or with a blower first and then use a towel. The dryer blower will help remove dead hair and give a dog coat a more finished look.
Get them as dry as possible.

Techniques for clipping nails.

A

Place the dog paw in the weak hand. Place the first digit of that paw between the thumb and four finger.
Press the digit between the two fingers to expose the nail to cut.
Placed that nail in the cutting device or against the grinder.
Cut or grind a little at a time. Cut no more than 1/8 of an inch at a time.
Move to the next nail and repeat steps one through four until all nails are complete.
Note: cut a little every 3 to 7 days; the quick will proceed to allow the nails to be cut, shorter without hurting the dog.
