The port in Port-au-Prince was so baldy damaged that emergency supplies could not be brought in, this was caused by liquefaction.

80% of education provided by poor quality private schools, more than 70% live on less than 2 dollars per day, 20% of population not educated in P-a-P, 86% of P-a-P live in slums.
