Stabling procedure - Leading Cab

A
  • stop at the Stopping Mark
  • If stopping in an open-ended track, ensure the leading cab is stopped 1-2m clear of failing point of any adjacent track.
  • SET SPEED to OFF
  • MC to OFF
  • ensure EMY, TRIP NOT SET & PARK BRAKE lights on
  • Brake Cyl. EMY pressure
  • TMS logs off
  • ‘Vacant Operations’ on HMI
  • ensure unnecessary equipment on off or auto
  • take HCMT access card exit bulkhead door
  • ensure it locks

Stabling procedure internal inspections

A

Check
- lighting is fully illuminated
- Fire doors are open
- General condition of floors, walls, seats, windows, and cameras, bellows & gangways
- Internal DER handles in normal position with covers on

Stabling procedure - trailing cab

A
  • Enter trailing cab via bulkhead door
  • Locate cab, light selector switch and turn it on if required
  • Close bulkhead door, ensure it locks
  • Check train is ‘in clear’ And stopped, wanted to meters of a fouling point
  • Inspect Volt panel lights (EMY, Trip not set, park brake lights ON)
  • Ensure unnecessary equipment is off or on auto, doors locked
  • OJT in the parked position
  • take access card
  • check weather conditions (if over 25° etc.)
  • Lower Pantos using start up, stable switch
  • HMI ‘stabling sequence initiated’
  • Exit via B side & lock door
  • Report any defects, but FMP
  • Road and motor numbers to fleet

When the train has exited the wash plant, the train reaches the dwarf signal at the end of the wash Road what must a driver do?

A

Stop and exit wash mode. Once the signal displays a proceed aspect, the driver may proceed as per signal indications.
