A
- PAin worst in groin or medial thigh (+LR- 7.8)
- Pain on walking upstairs or down slopes (=LR- 2.1)
- Morning stiffness under 60 mins
- Pain with squatting

A
- Age under 60 (-LR- .11)
- Morning stiffness greater than 60 mins (- LR-.22 to .65)
- Absence of pain with walking or stairs/slopes

Examination items limited with hip OA
A
- Age over 60, symptoms greater than 3 months, no pain with sitting, groin tenderness, decreased hip ER (4 or more- +LR- 4.9)
- Decreased ROM in 3 planes (+LR- 4.4)
-Decreased hip IR (x<24 in CPG)
Or hip flexion and IR 15 degrees less than nonpainful side - Weakness in hip abduction

Evidence for hip OA interventions
A
- Exercise- grade A- 1-5 times per week over 6-12 weeks
- Manual therapy grade A- MWM and high force distraction
- Pt education grade B
- Modalities- Grade C- US for 2 weeks
- Weight loss Grade C
