Causes

A

Poor oral intake

GI loss - V+D

Renal loss - hyperaldosteronism, Cushings, thiazide, loop

Malignancy -

  • blast crisis in AML
  • ectopic ACTH secretion in SCLC, thymus, medullary thyroid, neuroendocrine tumours

Limp muscles
Low BP
