what is the political influence

A

partys manifesto is key, one way in which parties persuade people. the party that has the most members after a general election necomes the government. ( can be up to 5 years) government will have major say on what new laws will be put infront of the house of commons

what happens at each opening session of parliament

A

government announces its plans for new laws that season, done in the kings speech; speech is written forthe king by the prime minister and othersenior minister

what is the advantage of political influence

A

each party has its proposals for reform ready so if that they are elected they will know what to do immediately = law process efficient

what is a disadvantage

A

changes and criticism, when a different party is elected at a new general election may decide to appeal laws from previous government which could cause chaos
