one advantage is scrutiny-why?
very thorough process with three readings and 2 stages in house of parliament, consolation document , outside bodies , community stage go through, clause by clause , many opportunities for debate and amendments
one advantage is democratic - why?
MPs are democratically elected , each mp forward constitution views, HOL not democratically elected under parliament act , cannot veto a bill but suggest amendments , HOC vote on making new laws
one advantage is flexibility- why?
government may not want to fully support particular issue but they do not wish to oppose it, contraversial matters allow free vote of consciosus eg Abortion act
one advantage is delegated - why?
law making can be delegated by parliament, allowing experts to draft laws, which can be checked over thoroughly
