Q

When using an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) for IFR flight, are you required to have a paper backup? If so, how many EFBs do you need, and if your EFB fails can you continue flying IMC?

A

You are required to have paper backups only when one pilot had an EFB. If both pilots have an EFB with the same program you can fly without paper pubs, but must exit IMC if an EFB fails as soon as practicable.
