Instruments TD 72 Flashcards
While in a holding pattern what is the recommended wind drift correction on the outbound leg?
Triple the inbound drift correction to the opposite side when outbound.
When using an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) for IFR flight, are you required to have a paper backup? If so, how many EFBs do you need, and if your EFB fails can you continue flying IMC?
You are required to have paper backups only when one pilot had an EFB. If both pilots have an EFB with the same program you can fly without paper pubs, but must exit IMC if an EFB fails as soon as practicable.
When should ATC call you, prior to reaching a fix or a clearance limit when no delay is expected?
Prior to reaching the fix as soon as possible and, whenever possible, at least 5 minutes before the aircraft reaches the clearance limit.
During a fully coupled CAAS holding pattern, how do you exit the holding pattern from your present position?
By using either EXIT HOLD or the DIRECT TO function.
