Name 2 Holy Books and why they are important to Muslims
-Qur’an. Provides a personal guidance for all life situations.
-Injeel. Teaches the journey of Jesus’s life who is a role model to Muslims.
Name 3 prophets and what they have taught Muslims
-Isa. Taught Muslims to be loving and forgiving.
-Dawud.Teaches Muslims to be brave and stand their ground.
-Abraham.Teaches Muslims that they will be rewarded if they remain loyal.
What is Rasalah?
A channel of communication between Allah and mankind, through the medium of angels.
Why are prophets important to Muslims?
-Prophets are role models. Muslims aspire to act like them meaning they will live a moral life.
-Prophets share Allah’s message with humanity. ‘Seal of prophets’.
Name 3 angels and their roles
Jibril- Sends messages to prophets so they can pass on Allah’s message
Mika’il- guardian of heaven, protects it from Shaytan. Also controls weather on earth.
Izra’il- angel of death, takes a persons soul when they die but doesn’t decide when they die.
Name 3 characteristic of angels
-Angels are not female
-Angels have wings
-Angels have no free will
What is Al-Qadr?
The belief that everything has already been decided by Allah.
Why is the belief of the afterlife important?
-Urges Muslims to not commit sins or crimes
-People who suffer can look forward to the justice of Allah
-Makes Muslim’s live more moral and good
How is Jannah and Jahannan described in the Quran?
Jannah- ‘a blessed reward. A pleasant resting place!’
Jahannan-‘the fire will scorch their faces’
What is Tawhid?
The belief in only one God.
