water in oceans,seas etc evaporate due to heat energy from the sun changing liquid water into water vapour

this vapour rises into the atmosphere

as it rises, it cools and condenses to form clouds- tiny droplets of liquid water

when these droplets become too large and heavy, they fall back to earth as precipitation, returning water to ground
