Inflamed red skin with burning pain

How do you confirm the diagnosis of jellyfish sting?

Microscopic exam showing Nematocyts

How do you treat Jellyfish stings?
A
Remove Nematocysts
Wash wound with saltwater to prevent nematocysts from firing
Scrape off the stingers using a piece of hard plastic
Hot water on wound to inactivate the toxin
Acetic Acid (Vinegar): may prevent toxin release
Topical Steroids
Antihistamines
