– slaughter house blessed, no prayer before kill (vs islam, before before each kill)
- carcass unblemished w no disease. lungs inspected.

land animals:
sciatic nerves + major blood vessels.
hindquarter.
fat around stomach, intestines, organs, + flank.

  • fast 24 hr.
    exempt: chhildren pre-puberty, ill, if fasting is dangerous. healthy children 9yoa+ should fast. pregnant + breastfeeding fast.

A

cannot cook from friday until saturday sunset. sabbath = prayer + rest.
stews cooked on friday simmer until sabbath

8 day festival of spring + freedom. foods kosher + no leavened foods = not allowed to rise. no yeast
