Prophase
a threadlike structure of nucleic acids and protein found in the nucleus of most living cells, carrying genetic information in the form of genes.
chromosomes
Are pieces of identical DNA that are crucial in the process of cell replication and division.
Sister Chromatids
The region of a chromosome to which the microtubules of the spindle attach, via the kinetochore, during cell division.
Centromere
Any of a network of filaments that collectively form a mitotic spindle (in mitosis) and meiotic spindle (in meiosis) and responsible in moving and segregating the chromosomes during nuclear division
Spindle fibers
The indentation of the cell’s surface that begins the progression of cleavage, by which animal and some algal cells undergo cytokinesis, the final splitting of the membrane, in the process of cell division.
Cleavage Furrow
Structure found inside the dividing cells of terrestrial plants and some algae. It develops in the middle plane of the cell separating two daughter cells during cell division.
Cell plate
Identify cell plate

Identify cleavage furrow

Identify centriole

Identify Nuclear Envelope

Identify spindle fibers

Different forms of a gene are called
Alles
The condition of having two of the same alleles
Homozygous
Having two different alleles
Heterozygous
