Describe monitoring of bandages in wild animal patients. (3)
What could be problems with the bandage?
What would be seen monitoring?
- Bandage too tight
- Swelling/discoloration and cold toes - Too bulky
- Patient won’t be able to balance themself. - Bandage placed too high/low
- Knee/crop restriction which leads difficulty breathing and feet/knee get caught in the bandage.
