16
Q

What is the number given to canines, maxillary PM4 and mandibular M1?

A

Canines end in 04
PM4 ends in 08
M1 ends in 09

17
Q

How is the starting numbers of the tooth system allocated?

A

Upper right = 1
Upper left = 2
Lower left = 3
Lower right = 4

18
Q

What is the type of mucosa covering most of the oral cavity?

A

a non-keratinised stratified squamous epithelium (buccal mucosa, labial mucosa, soft palate, floor of the mouth and ventral tongue surface)

19
Q

Where is the oral cavity is there keratinised stratified squamous epithelium?

A

Hard palate, attached gingiva and tongue surface

20
Q

What is a Mal/1?

A

Arches are in a normal position but one or more teeth are mispositioned e.g rotated, base narrower then canines

21
Q

What is a Mal/2?

A

Retrognathism undershot jaw

22
Q

What is a Mal/3?

A

Prognathism overshot jaw

23
Q

What is a Mal 4?

A

Wry bite from unequal arch development with a centre line displacement.

24
Q

Go through the calculus index 0-3

A
0 = no calculus
1 = some supragingival calculus covering <1/3 of buccal tooth surface
2 = moderate calculus covering 1/3 to 2/3 buccal tooth surface with minimal subgingival deposit
3 = abundant soft plaque covering >2/3 buccal tooth surface
25
What are the different gingival scores?
``` 0 = normal 1 = marginal gingivitis, mild swelling, some colour change, no BOP 2 = moderate swelling and inflamm of gingiva, BOP 3 = Marked swelling and inflammation, spontaneous bleeding ```
26
Furcation classification?
``` 1 = probe extends <1/2 into furcation 2 = probe extends more then 1/2 into furcation but not through 3 = probe extends through furcation ```
27
Mobility classification?
``` 0 = normal 0.2mm 1 = 0.2-0.5mm 2 = 0.5-1mm laterally 3 = >1mm laterally or vertically ```
28
Tooth resorption scale?
``` 1 = mild dental hard tissue loss (cementum) 2 = moderate dental hard tissue loss (cementum and/or undermining enamel with loss of dentin, does not involve pulp chamber) 3 = deep hard tissue loss, extends into pulp 4 = significant coronal tooth structure loss 5 = crown lost radiographs show remnants of root ```
29
Periodontal disease index?
``` 0 = normal 1 = gingivitis without attachment loss 2 = <25% attachment loss or grade 1 furcation 3 = 25-50% attachment loss or grade 2 furcation 4 = >50% attachment loss or grade 3 furcation ```
