Q

The communication mediation model

A
  • Depicts causal flow.
  • Shows: overall media use, interpersonal discussions (interactive political messaging)
  • This model is a horizontal process. If you watch traditional media, you are more likely to consume hard news (political stuff, foreign policy, etc.). Since you consume hard news, you are likely to discuss politics (because you have, or at least perceive to have, knowledge on the topic). Because you discuss politics, you are likely to participate in politics in an offline setting (voting, etc.).
  • Depicted a model of campaign communication mediation on civic participation
