what is convergent evolution?
A
evolved characteristics that are similar due to similar environment but not due to common ancestors, ex. flippers of whales, walrus am manatee.

what is divergent evolution?
A
related species developing differently based on environment and experience. ex. humans, dogs, whales and birds having similar arm bones but different structures and use.
