Q

When is the fwd stick pressure extra important?

A

I use to be a fwd stick skeptic, but then thought about Eng failure at low speed and the extra resistance that may be gained by the fwd stick. Especially with contaminanted rwy, crosswind, light weight and aft cg.
Also is your seat adjusted for full assym braking?!?!?

Q

What is situation a situation b ?

A

Situation a :normal performance
Situation B: pilot requires a second leg.
For when pilot flying or pilot monitoring, observed to be safe, but with a marginal grade of 2 in any area that lcp determines to be critical, then should continue the observation to ensure the pilots performance meets Delta standards.
Examples:
Pilots flies maneuver, outside of a QP standards, and does not correct back in a timely manner
Procedural error not managed. Deviations from prescribed maneuver tolerance of the qualification standard occur that are not recognized or corrected.
Pilot requires greater than normal reliance on the other crew member to maintain SA or accomplish normal procedures. Lcp feels they can debrief the pilot at the conclusion of the first leg, and then observe changed/improved performance on a subsequent leg. Pilot fails to comply with FAR’s or delta policies and procedures.

Q

Can a situation B occur on either PF or PM leg?
May a situation B grade be administered to first officers during mid phase validation event?

A

Yes.
No.

17
Q

In a situation B leg how do you grade the other crewmember?

A

If the other crew member was satisfactory or not observed, they must be given a “no grade” status. Failure to do this will result in the alternate crew member also receiving a situation B grade.

18
Q

Seat 2a/4a no longer blocked. Seat may have passenger in it due to not being blocked by OE planners. Revenue passenger must be moved. Some agents “break “ the seat in order to do so. Have gate agent print boarding pass and leave hat and boarding pass on seat. Purser can check sky pro to see if name is attached to the seat.

A
19
