Where are tundras located?
Near the north pole e.g greenland
Where are tropical rainforests located?
Tropical Rainforests – Found near the equator in South America (Amazon), Central Africa (Congo), Southeast Asia, and parts of Central America. Hot and wet all year
Where are hot deserts located?
Deserts – Located in North Africa (Sahara), the Middle East, Australia, and the southwestern U.S. Very dry with extreme temperatures.
Where are coniferious forests located?
Taiga (coniferious forests) – Just south of the tundra in Canada, Russia, and Scandinavia. Cold, with coniferous forests.
Where are temperate decidious forests located?
Temperate Forest – Found in eastern North America, Europe, and parts of Asia. Has four seasons and mixed forests.
How do biomes differ?
Biomes differ primarily in climate, geography, vegetation, and animal life.
How do biomes differ? Comparing
Some biomes are cold e.g tundra, while others are hot e.g desert, tropical rainforest
Rainfall of tropical rainforests are 2000+mm annual rainfall whereas deserts get around 250mm per year.
