How does a vacuum former work ?
In vacuum forming a sheet of thermoplastic is clamped and heated until it’s soft. A mould is then placed into the vacuum former and the air is sucked out from around it. This either pulls the plastic owner or allow it to be removed from the formed thermoplastic sheet
What is CAD?
CAD stands for COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN. it is particularly good for producing working drawings and 3D computer models
Advantages of CAD ?
That produce high quality and consistent drawings
Information can be easily stored electronically and transmitted for example e’mail
What is CAM ?
CAM stands for COMPUTER AIDED MANUFACTURE. it is a process that converts drawings produced by CAD into actual products.
What are CNC machines ?
CNC stands for COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL
