A
Throughout the text, the writer expresses his feelings on the important issue of oppression brought about by imperialism. He provokes an emotional response from the reader, to share his outrage and disapproval through powerful language, techniques and precise word choice to demonstrate the oppression of Moroccan people. It is clear to the reader that Orwell believes how wrong things are playing out in Marrakech society.
