1) If OC not started day 1 of menses, use addition non-drug form of contraception first week of therapy
2) Take same time each day for max effectiveness
3) Amoxicillin and doxycycline may decrease effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives
4) Some anti-convulsants may decrease effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives and/or increase chance of seizures
5) None of the medications on this list protect against HIV/AIDS/STDs
