17
Q

ENG Failure in Final APP?

A

-Advance operating ENG to GA position-Retract to Flaps 20-Maintain VREF 30+10kts (Equivalent to VREF Flap 20)DECIDE GA or CONTINUEGA- Maintain VREF 30+10kts & execute GA proc(Flap5, “positive” gear up)CONTINUE- Maintain SPD conduct OEI LDG.

18
Q

RA

A

If manoeuvring is Req’dA/P- DISENGAGEA/T- DISCONNECTSmoothly adjust pitch & thrust to satisfy RA command-If stick shaker occurs, accomplish stall recovery procedure-If high speed buffet occurs, relax pitch force to reduce buffet but continue the manoeuvre-Do not use F/D commands until clear of conflict

Q

Nose HIGH Recovery

A

Recognize & ConfirmDISENGAGE A/P & A/TApply as much FULL DOWN ELEVATOR/ TRIMREDUCE ThrustROLL to obtain nose down pitch rate-When approaching HORIZON, roll wings LVL-Check A/S & adjust Thrust-Establish pitch ATT

21
Q

Nose LOW Recovery

A

Recognize & ConfirmDISENGAGE A/P & A/TRECOVER from Stall (if req’d)ROLL in shortest direction to wings LVLRECOVER to LVL flight-apply nose up elevator/ trim-adjust thrust/drag as req’d

22
Q

What is an UPSET defined as?

A

> 25’ Nose UP>10’ Nose DOWNAOB> 45’A/S inappropriate for conditions

23
Q

Approach to Stall or Stall Recovery

A

Initiate the Recovery:-Hold control column firmly-Disengage A/P A/T-Smoothly apply NOSE DOWN elevator to reduce AOA until buffet or stick shaker stops (Trim may be req’d)Continue the Recovery:-ROLL in shortest direction to wings LVL-ADVANCE thrust-SPEEDBRAKE - DOWN-Do not change Gear & Flap except during liftoff if Flaps are UP call for Flaps 1Complete the Recovery:-Check A/S and adjust thrust as req’d-Establish pitch ATT-Return to desired flight path-Re-engage A/P & A/T

24
Q

Aborted Engine Start

A

-No EGT increase by 25 sec after fuel cont switch is moved to run-No N1 rotation by 30 seconds after N2 is stabalized at idle-EGT quickly or near exceeds the start limit-Oil pressure indication is not normal by time the engine is stabalized at idle

25
Q

What are the two indications A/C is in WIndshear?

A

1.) “WINDSHEAR, WINDSHEAR, WINDSHEAR”Immediate alertExcessive Windshear at A/P current positionEnabled BLW 1,500ft RAD ALTDetection begins at rotation2.) Unacceptable flight path deviations

26
Q

What are Unacceptable flight path deviations?

A

Uncontrolled changes from normal steady state flight conditions BLW 1,000ft AGL in excess of:15 KIASVS 500fpm5’ pitch ATT1 dot displacement from GSUnusual thrust lever position for a significant amount of time.

27
Q

Q

“GO AROUND WINDSHEAR AHEAD”

A

Enabled during APP BLW 1,200ft AGLWindshear within 1.5 nm & DIRECTLY ahead of planeIf WX not selected on HSI, PWS symbology will auto pop upshows position & size only when HSI in VOR,APP,MAP,CTR MAP mode.Perform Windshear escape maneuver

29
Q

“WINDSHEAR AHEAD, WINDSHEAR AHEAD”

A

Enabled during T/O BLW 1,200ftWindshear within 3nm & DIRECTLY ahead of planeIf WX not selected on HSI, PWS symbology will auto pop upshows position & size only when HSI in VOR,APP,MAP,CTR MAP mode.Prior to V1- REJECTAfter V1- Rotate at normal rate to 15’ after airborne perform Windshear escape maneuver.IF WINDSHEAR ENCOUNTERED AND A/S DECREASES AND NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO STOP- Initiate normal rotation at least 2,000ft before end of RWY even if A/s low.-Higher then normal pitch ATT may be req’d-Ensure MAX thrust set
