First stage of hormones in the menstrual cycle
High levels of FSH at start of cycle stimulate ovaries to make oestrogen to build up lining lining
Second stage of hormones in the menstrual cycle
As oestrogen levels increase inhibits the release of SFH - making SFH decrease but stimulates the release of LH
Third stage of hormones in the menstrual cycle
High levels of LH means ovulation will occur
Forth stage of hormone in the menstrual cycle
At the end of the cycle levels of progesterone increase and inhibit LH and SFH - so they will drop and the process will start again

- Injections of the reduced hormone

What is IVF
Eggs of harvested from the woman and fertilised in a lab with father sperm, embryo‘s developed and inserted back into uterus
Risks and disadvantages of IVF
- expensive
- low success rate
- risk of multiple embryos developing
