What is Unoccupied Play?
Unoccupied Play occurs from Birth to 3 months when a baby is making movements with their arms, legs, etc. They are discovering how their body moves.
What is Solitary Play?
Solitary Play occurs from 3 months to 2.5 years when a child plays alone and is not interested in playing with others.
What is Spectator/Onlooker Behavior?
Spectator/Onlooker Behavior occurs at 2.5 to 3.5 years when a child observes other children playing but will not play with them.
What is Parallel Play?
Parallel Play occurs from 3.5 to 4 years when a child plays alongside or near others but does not play with them.
What is Associate Play?
Associate Play occurs from 4 to 4.5 years when a child starts to interact with others during play, but not much cooperation is required.
What is Cooperative Play?
Cooperative Play occurs from 4.5 and up years when a child plays with others and has interest in both the activity and other kids involved in playing.
