What is a carriageway?
Any part of the road intended to be used by road vehicles, excluding footpaths, cycle paths and moped paths

It is the carriageway but without the acceleration or deceleration lanes
What is a lane?
A section of the carriageway
*You have to switch lanes lane by lane, you cannot cross multiple lanes in one go

A section of the motorway or autoweg used only as a rush hour lane or for emergencies

Emergency refuge areas, only intended for emergency use

What is a deceleration / exit lane for?
Exiting the carriageway. Once already in the exit lane, you cannot rejoin the carriageway.
