Musaafer Spiel:
Namaste/ Good Evening lad(y)ies and gentlemen and welcome to Musafer, My Name is server name and this is assistants name and we will both be taking care of you today. Have you had the pleasure of dining with us before? (Yes/ No)
- If “No”: We’re so glad you could join us today. Just a brief introduction into Musaafer before we dive into the menu; Musaafer translates to traveler, Our Executive Chef and owners traveled throughout all 29 states of India in about 100 days, so we call it the “100 day journey”. The whole goal in mind was to find these regionally influenced cuisines from the north, south, east and west in order to come to the states and share with you all and today we hope to take you on the same journey.
With that being said, are there any dietary restrictions or allergies we should be aware of this evening?
If Yes and you are familiar with our foods allergens: I see, many of our ingredients are clearly stated while others are present and may not be listed, i’d be happy to answer any questions or elaborate on any dishes you may be unsure about and we will be marking the dishes that contain allergen with allergen stickers so we can all enjoy and identify dishes easily.
If Yes and you are not familiar with our foods allergens: I see, while I am familiar with most of the ingredients in our cuisine, please give me just a moment to speak with our chefs so we can offer you a full list of our dishes that will contain allergen so we can be completely sure that you have an enjoyable dining experience
If you are unfamiliar with the allergen (ex. Lagoon, Celiac, Jain): I see, while I personally am unfamiliar with your allergy, Our chefs are more than equipped to accommodate you today so please excuse me just a moment to let him know of the allergen (In most cases the chef on duty should go to the table)

When was the last time you had a chance to join us?… ( MORE than 3 months ago)… Since the last time you joined us we have actually changed to our new seasonal menu so there alot of amazing new things to try along with a few favorites which have remained on the menu

Wonderful, welcome back! When was the last time you had a chance to join us?… ( LESS than 3 months ago)… Since the last time you joined us our menu has remained the same so this is an amazing opportunity to try new dishes or enjoy your seasonal favorites before they change the menu.

Final Steps
- (This step may occur at either the very beginning or end of spiel) Do we all have a preference in bottled still, bottled sparkling, or house water?
- Perfect! I will start with the water at the moment and give you all some time to read through the menu unless we have any questions or are ready to start with anything to drink besides water?
- Lastly when leaving the table, check to make sure guests have the proper napkin, purse stand(s) if needed, and proper mise-en-place (it is important to remove all unneeded place setting and follow- up that water arrives within 5 minutes of arrival)
