Talk about Carpal tunnel syndrome and how that comes to be.
Long periods of time typing and similar activities can be associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. The carpal tunnel is the tunnel where flexor digitorum tendons run through. Muscles that are overused can inflame and compress the area, resulting in nerve compression. Motor units cannot be innovated properly when this happens, resulting in carpal tunnel.
Name the six different joints beginning from the radius and ulna connecting with the carpals, to the final interphalangeal joints.
Radiocarpal Joint Midcarpal Joint (between the two carpal rows) Carpometacarpal Joint (between carpal and metac.) Metacarpophalangeal (MCP) Joint (metac to phalang.) Proximal Interphalangeal Joint (PIP) Distal Interphalangeal Joint (DIP)
