C-1
Intermediate Range Rod Stop
- Prevents reaching IR & PR Hi flux trips
- Setpoint = IR amps ≈ 20% Power Range
- Coincidence 1/2 IR channels
Effect:
- Stops outward rod motion in auto AND manual
- Can be manually blocked when P-10 is met (2/2 switch)
- Automatically unblocked when P-10 no longer met

PR Rod stop
- Prevents reaching PR Hi flux trip
- Setpoint = 103%
- Coincidence 1/4 PR channels
Effect:
- Stops outward rod motion in auto AND manual
- Can be bypassed at the NIS cabinet

OTN16 Rod Stop & Runback
- Setpoint = 3% < OTN16 Rx trip setpoint
- Coincidence 2/4 channels
Effect:
- Stops outward rod motion in auto AND manual
- Generates Turbine Runback (On for 1.5 sec @ 200%/min then off for 28.5 sec, continues to cycle until C-3 clears)

4OPN16 Rod Stop & Runback
- Setpoint = 3% < OPN16 Rx trip setpoint
- Coincidence 2/4 channels
Effect:
- Stops outward rod motion in auto AND manual
- Generates Turbine Runback (On for 1.5 sec @ 200%/min then off for 28.5 sec, continues to cycle until C-3 clears)

Low Power Interlock
- Setpoint = ≤15% Turbine Power
- Coincidence = 1/1 PT-505 or PT-506
Effect:
- Based on which turbine 1st stage pressure transmitter is selected to input to rod control.
- Stops outward rod motion in auto with power ≤15%

Loss of Load Interlock
- Setpoint = 10% with time constant of 120 sec
- Coincidence based on turbine power load reduction
Effect:
- Arms steam dump valves if in Tave mode
- Setpoint is variable based on rate of load rejection. For example, 5%/min will actuate C-7 in 10 mins, 10%/min will fire C-7 immediately
- Manual reset required

Condenser Interlock
- Setpoint >12.3 “Hg
- Coincidence based on 2/2 CEV and 2/4 CW pump breakers closed
Effect:
- Allows steam dump valves to open when C-9 is met

Control Bank D Rod Withdrawal Limit
- Setpoint = 223 steps
Effect:
- Stops outward rod motion in auto only

Stop Turbine Loading
- Prevents excessive Tave droop
- Setpoint = 553F auctioneered low Tave OR auctioneered low deviation Tave < Tref by 20F
Effect:
- Stop turbine loading when met

AMSAC
- Setpoint = >40% Turbine power in the last 260 sec
- Coincidence fed from PT-505/506
Effect:
- Enables AMSAC actuation circuit
P-4
Reactor Trip
- Setpoint = Rx trip breakers open
- Coincidence is train associated trip breaker AND bypass breaker open or not in connect
Effect:
- Activates main turbine trip
- Generates a FW isolation signal IF Tave is below low setpoint of 564F
- Blocks auto re-actuation of SI after manual reset
- Seals in FW isolation signal due to SI or HI-HI S/G level
- Arms steam dump system to allow steam dump operation in Tave mode

Source Range Rx Trip Block
- Setpoint = >10^-10 amps
- Coincidence 1/2 IR channels
Effect:
- Allows manual block of SR Hi Flux trip (2/2 block switches)
- Block switches also de-energize SR Hi volts
- When <10^-10 amps on 2/2 channels, trips reinserted automatically
P-7
At Power permissive
- Coincidence requires P-10 or P-13 met
Effect reinstates the following trips:
- PZR Lo pressure
- PZR Hi level
- RCP Undervoltage
- RCP Underfrequency
- Low Flow in 2 RCS Loops
Above trips are blocked when P-7 is no longer met.
P-8
Loop Flow Permissive
- Setpoint = >48%
- Coincidence is 2/4 PR channels
Effect:
- Allows for Rx trip when low flow condition sensed on 2/3 channels in any 1 RCS loop.
- Automatically blocked with 2/4 channels <48%
P-10
Nuclear at Power Permissive
- Setpoint = >10%
- Coincidence is 2/4 PR channels
Effect:
- Feeds P7 (At power permissive)
- Automatically blocks SR trip and de-energizes SR Hi-volts
- Allows blocking of IR Trip and C-1
- SR Hi Flux at shutdown annunciator and cntmt evacuation alarm defeated
When 3/4 PR channels <10%, the following are re-instated:
- IR Trip
- C-1
-PR Trip (low setpoint)
- Removes P-7
P-11
PZR SI Block Permissive
- Setpoint = <1960 psig
- Coincidence 2/3 PZR Pressure channels
Allows manual blocking of:
- Low PZR Pressure SI
- Low streamline pressure SI (<605#), once blocked, the negative steam line pressure high rate is armed (100#/50 sec) and an open signal is sent to SI Accumulator isolation valves

Lo-Lo Tave Permissive
- Setpoint = 553F
- Coincidence 2/4 channels
Effect:
- Automatically closes all steam dump valves. The three cooldown steam dump valves may be opened by using bypass switch
P-13
Turbine at Power Permissive
- Setpoint = Turbine power >10% RTP
- Coincidence is 1/2 Turbine Impulse pressure channels
Effect:
- Feeds P-7 permissive
- Automatically removes signal to P-7 when no longer met
P-14
S/G Hi-Hi Level
- Setpoint = 84% on Unit 1, 81.5% on Unit 2
- Coincidence is 2/3 detectors on any 1 S/G
Effect:
- Trips main feed pumps
- Trips main turbine
- Generates FW Isolation signal
