- To check the dosage
- To check its efficacy

Right Atrium
Which side of the heart is deoxygenated, and which is oxygenated?
left - deoxygenated
right - oxygenated
FOUR ways an artery structure is different from a vein
- Artery has thicker muscle tissue
- Artery has thicker elastic tissue
- Artery has narrower lumen
- Artery does not have valves
Effects of coronary heart disease/Effect of party blocked coronary artery
THREE
- Less blood flow to the heart, so less oxygen/glucose, lower heart rate.
- Less aerobic respiration, more anaerobic respiration so less energy released.
- Less muscle contractions, less oxygen/glucose so more muscle fatigue/tiredness/breathlessness pain in chest - so build up of lactic acid which causes muscle fatigue.
Treatments for coronary artery disease
FOUR
- Stent - which opens the artery
- Statins - which reduce blood cholesterol
- heart transplant - replace with a healthy heart/ artificial heart
- artery bypass - divert blood around the blockage
