what are the two types of sexuality
- heterosexual
- homosexual
what are christian views on sexual behavoiur before marriage
Christians believe that sexual behaviour before marriage is sinful and unfaithful
“a man leaves his father and mother to be united to his wife”
what are muslims views on heterosexuality
Muslims believe that heterosexual relationship are the normal pattern of life as Muslim are expected to marry the opposite sex though are not able to marry those of multiple relationships
“Marry those who are single”
what are christian views on homosexuality
most christians oppose homosexuality and see it as sinful
as Paul taught chrisitans that “men who have sex with men” are immoral and will not “inherit the kingdom of God”
what are Muslim views on homosexuality
all muslim belive homosexuality to be haram (against gods will) and punishable
as the Quran teaches “Do not have sexual relations with a man”
what are similarities on homoseuxlaity between christianity and islam
they both believe that it is against the natural law as no offspring can be produced therefore homosexuality is against what god intented for humanity

as paul said “whoever sins sexually. Do you not know the holy spirit is within you”

a muslim believe that sex before marriage is forbiden
as the quran says “To protect society is to maintain a society where a man and his wife shares the action”

adulatory with another woman breaks vows and will threaten the security of the relationship
it is also against one of 10 commandments “you shall not commit adultory”
jesus also taught of it as wrong as he said
“anyone who looks at a women lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart”

the quran teaches that a muslim should avoid situations that could lead to sexual sin
“a man should not stay with a woman alone unless he is a relative”
the quran also forbids adultory “do not go near aultery : it is an evil path”

the quran teaches that marriaghe is a faithful and long commitment intended by god for the sharing of love
it is a social contract that brings two familes together
it says in the quran “husband and wives are like garments for each other”

marriage is a gift from god and is a sacrament reflecting the sacrificial love of jesus
“a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife becoming one flesh”
what are muslim views on forced marriage
in islam marriage can be arranged but never forced upon the man or women
“if a man gives his daughter while she is averse to it then the marriage is invalid” (hadith)
what are muslim views on divorce
islam discourages divorce and instead courages the couple to solve their differences by allowing family to help bring them back together
“if anyone intends to divorce a woman the waiting period shall be 3 months”
what are Christian views on divorce
jesus taught that anyone who divorces and remarries is comitting adultery
“anyone who divorces his wife marries another, commits adultery”

islam teaches that a person parents are those most important people in his life behind god and the prophet Muhammed and those who are disrespectful towards them are receiving sin
“he who is good to his parents, blessing be upon him”
it is the same for parents to children
“honour you children and perfect their manners”

in christianity parents and children have responsibility to each other,
children have duties to obey and love their parents and parents have duties to care for the children
“listen to your father and do not despise your mother”
it is the same for children
“fathers do not embitter your children”
what are muslim views on gender equality
the quran teaches that god create all people equally from a “single soul”
it is also believed that prophet Muhammad worked to unite the tribes of madinah
“I will never deny any of you male or female the reward of your deeds”
what are christian views on gender equality
the bible teaches that god created all humanity equally
“all people are created equal in the image of god”
jesus also respected women and welcomed them as disciples
