What is a parasite?
An organism that lives in or on another organism, gaining benefits while the host does not.
Parasites gain protection and nutrients from the host.
What are the two categories of parasites?
- Endoparasites
- Ectoparasites

Parasites that live externally on a host.
Examples include fleas and lice.
