What does this result in?
Silt shifting and cream skimming leads to pupils educational experiences being impacted by class and social background. Mc pupils will typically have a positive view of education compared to working class pupils who will be placed in schools perceived as poor, with poor educational opportunities.
Why does parental choice link to league tables?
As parents are given more freedom to dictate where their child receives education they often rely on league tables to make informed decisions.
