refer for tetanus toxoid if appropriate

Animal bite

A

Wash immediately with copious warm, soapy water
apply pressure to stop bleeding
refer for tetanus toxoid
if bite on hand from cat– ABX

Burns

A

examine for > 3 inches diameter
wash with lukewarm, soapy water
cover with clean dressing, oral analgesics

Homeopathics

  • urtica: stining
  • kali bich: ulcerated 2nd degree
  • hepar sulph: infected burns
  • causticum- painful scarring
