A 12 year old girl was brought to your clinic because she has been crying day and night due to severe pain in her lower right 1st molar. She also has a fever. Oral examination of the tooth involved revealed a deep seated occlusal cavity is still restorable. Also, it is tender upon percussion. The adjacent teeth seem to be a normal condition as well as periodontal tissues and the surrounding mucosa. Radiographic examination revealed a slight thickening of the periodontal membrane of the tooth involved. Moreover a large area of radiolucency at the apex of the tooth 46 can be seen. Histologic examination of this lesion showed a central area of disintegrating polymorphonuclear leukocytes surrounded by a viable leukocytes How would you manage this case?
