Q

Michael Silk, in justice and revenge in the Odyssey.

2
Q

Julia Stanton, on revenge and justice.

A

The suitors’ deaths are sanctioned by Zeus and Athena even helps Odysseus to kill them, showing that it is not just a personal Vendetta that Odysseus has against the suitors. Odysseus does not even view himself as the cause of their deaths, rather it is their own actions and the doom of the gods that caused it.
