Sport and exercise psychology
the scientific study of the behavior of people who engage in sports and physical activities and the application of the knowledge gained
The two objectives a sports psychologist follows
(1) to understand how psychological factors affect a person’s motor performance
(2) to understand how participating in physical activity affects a person’s psychological development
