Poliomyelitis: an infectious viral disease that can lead to ms weakness, flaccid paralysis and respiratory failure

A

a disorder in which the body cant break down glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). These GAGs accumulate in bones, cartilage and CT and lead to abnormal skeletal development

  1. Cardiopulmonary: pulmonary hypertension, CHF
  2. DJD: nerve root entrapment
  3. progression of the curve
  4. joint dysfunction: altered biomechanics, pain, instability
  5. radiation exposure

  7. skin irritations: due to brace
  8. surgical complications
