What are monotremes and what are some examples?
Monotremes-mammals that lay eggs. Example- platypus and echidna
What are marsupials and what are some examples?
Marsupials-a mammal of an order whose members are born incompletely developed and are typically carried and suckled in a ouch on the mothers belly. Example-kangaroo, koala, wallaby, etc.
What are placentals and what are some examples?
Placental-a mammal of a group characterized by the presence of placenta, which facilitates exchange of nutrients and wastes between the blood of the mother and that of the fetus. Example- tiger, dog, etc.
What does heterodontic mean?
When an animal posses more than a single tooth or morphology (different teeth)
What is amniotes?
Embryos are surrounded by a thin membrane
