How to control investigator effects?

A
  • train experimenters to use a neutral tone of voice in the way they greet ppts or ask questions
  • ensure researcher is the same gender as the ppts
  • provide a standardised script for the researchers to use so that they’re asking questions/giving instructions in the same way
  • If researcher is aware of the aims of the study, DOUBLE BLIND
