It is possible and desirable. (For positivists)

The aim of sociology is to discover the truth about how society works and uncover the laws that govern society.
With this sociologists can say under scientific certainty what is bests for society and social problems.
How did Marx see himself ?

Believed he had discovered the truth about the future of society.
However - He took his own value as the ideal solution for society.
Therefore he never remained value free.
